Estate Planning

Wills

Estate Planning is the process of protecting your assets through the course of transition events, such as marriage, having children, divorce, business and asset purchases, business restructuring and exits, retirement, advancing age, entry into care facilities, illness, incapacity and death. SA Wealth Group works closely with clients to produce tailored estate planning outcomes in a very cost- and time-effective manner.

Power Of Attorney

A Power of Attorney is a legal document where you appoint a person of your choice to manage your assets and financial affairs if you are unable to do so due to illness, an accident or your absence. All Power of Attorney documents must be signed by you while you have the legal capacity to understand what a Power of Attorney is and you agree to the conditions included in your Power of Attorney, and the attorney you have selected must agree to be your attorney and sign an acceptance of the appointment. A Power of Attorney ceases when you die, and at that point the responsibility for your estate will be taken up by the executor named in your Will.

Testamentary Trusts

A testamentary trust is designed to provide maximum flexibility and allow for tax-effective distribution of capital and income, as well as providing possible protection of your beneficiaries from third parties such as creditors.
As your financial advisor’s we will assist your executors to determine how best to manage your estate for the benefit of your beneficiaries, taking into account risk management, taxation and other issues.
